Returns and Exchanges

Each of our items at Sweet Dreams Desserts is made to order fresh from scratch. We stand behind the quality of our product, and offer a 100% satisfaction Taste Guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the taste or presentation of an item you received from us  please contact us at sweetdreamsorder@aol.com and we will make a decision on a case-by-case basis. If your item was eligible for Free Local Delivery we will have our courier pick up the unused portion of the defective item. If the item was mailed, we will send you an email with the address to return the defective item in original package to. Upon receipt we will mail out a replacement of comparable value at our discretion. Complaints  must be made witin 24 hours of receiving the cake. A replacement will not be made for a cake that was eaten in its entirety or not returned to us. 

We make every attempt to package your cake for safe delivery. In most areas we have partners available to repair your cake should it incur minor damage during shipment at no cost to you. However, we will not replace or refund any cake/dessert that is defective due to the mail carrier handling. All of our items shipped via Fedex are insured up to $100. Should there be a problem with the delivery of the cake, contact us at sweetdreamsorder@aol.com, so that we may file a claim with FedEx.
If your item was shipped via USPS, please be advised USPS does not offer insurance for perishable items. In this case you may recoup the amount for shipping by filing a claim directly with USPS.

Delivery/Shipping Policy

All orders within the Tampa Bay area is eligible for our Free Local Delivery

Orders for delivery outside the Tampa Bay area will be shipped at a cost of $19.95 per item. Some items are eligible for combined shipping. Our cart will calculate your shipping for you.

Paypal Payment
All orders within the Tampa Bay Area are eligible for Free Local Delivery and shipping charges, if paid online, will be refunded. All custom cakes, cream cakes and cheesecakes are shipped via Fedex next day delivery. All other items such as cookies, or pound cakes are shipped second day air. You will receive an email with the tracking number to track your package at www.fedex.com.  Unless your P.O. Box allows packages to be shipped directly to it, we will not be able to ship to a P.O.Box via Fedex and additional shipping charges to ship via USPS.

 

The purchase of the cooling unit/dry ice is optional however we strongly recommend purchasing the cooling unit for all next day shipments and for deliveries to Hawaii, Puerto Rico and USVI.

 

Please allow up to 3 days for processing and up to 5-7 business days for shipping. (Sundays and holidays may delay shipping of items.) If you need your items more quickly, please contact us. We do have several cakes already made up and ready to go while others we assemble from scratch. If you are worried about the time, please include the date of the event in the comment field during checkout, and we will make sure the cake arrives before that date.

 

We ship anywhere in the US and its territories. There will be additional shipping charges for Alaska and Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the USVI. Please contact us for a quote.

 

Payment is secure through our shopping cart and PayPal.

 

You may request gift packaging at no additional cost. If your cake is getting delivered directly to the recipient please include the "To" and "From" card information in the comment box during checkout.

 

Additional shipping information may apply for custom/novelty cakes. Please read the invoice before paying invoice as payment confirms acceptance of our shipping policy and all verbal or written agreements.
